[D1, LE] What a day, what a place (Open)

[Shiba Yukari]

"Yes, local flora, exactly! That way we know the plants can survive the climate of the island without drawing too much labor away from other projects, and who knows what we might discover?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

The Doji nodded and closed her eyes imagining. "New ideas and new friends, Shiba san." She asked for some tea. "I wonder what plants lie behind the mask that is the forest." Hanatsuko looked at the Daidoiji and nodded.

[Shiba Yukari]

"I expect, if all goes well, we might find out..."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"The evening smells of the forest are enticing." The Doji sipped her tea. "I believe we can make a lovely garden with a small shrine to Konohama no kami."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"We are going to need a great many shrines here I think." he mused, enjoying the company and conversation. "Kaiu-sama is going to very busy indeed. I look forward to this garden-farm, I hope I can do something to help make it happen."

[Shiba Yukari]

Yes! EXACTLY! PERFECT!

Yukari did her best to keep from any unseemly displays of enthusiasm (like, say, grabbing the Doji by her hands and dancing around the room), and instead smiled and nodded.

"I have been tasked with a more... general sort of shrine, but I believe, if I have Crane support, that a separate shrine to the Fortune of Flowers would be relatively simple to achieve..."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"This is going to end with me learning how to be a woodcarver so I guess I should report to Kaiu-sama and begin my apprenticeship in the morning."

He could see the excitement in the Shiba's eyes and it warmed his heart to see that her and the Doji were getting along as well as he had hoped.

"So what plants from the mainland would the two of you want to plant here assuming we don't find them growing here already?"

He was clearly still disappointed about the pear thing and was licking his lips a bit wishing he had one now.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"It is understandable that the Phoenix would want more than one shrine. I will not oppose the notion." She nodded and fanned herself.

"This is going to end with me learning how to be a woodcarver so I guess I should report to Kaiu-sama and begin my apprenticeship in the morning."

"I do not know if the mainland plants would survive here." She sighed as the odd feeling around her.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Yukari said the same, I hope in the end they can because trying to figure out what is edible or we can even touch is going to be a big job. Isn't it?"

[Shiba Yukari]

"Ah, Kenzo-san, where's your sense of adventure?"

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Finding the plants will be an adventure, of that I am certain but test the plants..." he considered it. "I suppose it is a huge gamble and I love a good thrill. OK, you've sold me on it, I will eat whatever you put in front of me."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Un..." Hana lowered her head as she may have a vague idea of how they feel. "I will be an interesting adventure." I wonder about their personality

[Shiba Yukari]

"Finding the plants will be an adventure, of that I am certain but test the plants..." he considered it. "I suppose it is a huge gamble and I love a good thrill. OK, you've sold me on it, I will eat whatever you put in front of me."

"Well, I'm not putting anything in front of you until it's been examined, so have no fear there... I was thinking actually of asking the local wildlife. It's not foolproof, but it can eliminate the really dangerous stuff..."

"Un..." Hana lowered her head as she may have a vague idea of how they feel. "I will be an interesting adventure." I wonder about their personality

"Do you think we'll get to name anything?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

She closed her eyes thinking. "Probably... even if they are known by some.other name." She opened her eyes and nodded. So quiet now... "Not to worry Shiba san... They will be happy if they get a name by us."

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari's eyebrows went up, and her expression became one of awestruck delight.

"You can commune with plants?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Not really, Shiba san... I can sense their emotions." She sighed. "I am not a shugenja just a blessing from Konohana no kami." She hid her shame behind her fan.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Why do you seem so embarrassed Hanatsuko-san? You bear a wonderful blessing and one that also places a tremendous burden on you as well. We will find a way to limit the difficulties I am sure of it, we can just bring things to you here perhaps."

He really didn't know what to say, he had seen the pain this was causing her and could think of nothing to do to help it which frustrated him.

"Sake?" he offered.

[Shiba Yukari]

"Not really, Shiba san... I can sense their emotions." She sighed. "I am not a shugenja just a blessing from Konohana no kami." She hid her shame behind her fan.

"That's amazing! Your gardens must be phenomenal..."

Yep. No fangirling here. At all.

"Sake?" he offered.

"Kenzo-san is always trying to ply gardeners with sake, perhaps we should be wary?"

She was clearly joking.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Trust me Yukari-san if that was my intent I would need a barrel of this stuff, each." he said smiling.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

The Doji lightly chuckled from behind her fan. "My gardens are good but my Ikebana is more emotional than most."
