(D2, MM, Fishing) Teach a Man to Fish...

The moth-masked Shosuro Zhuchong sat ready on the docks with a fishing pole in hand and several more sitting in a bucket beside him. There were a few other buckets, too. One with bait, another with fish he had caught, and then a few more empty ones. It seemed this was where the fishing was going on.

Fishing thread is here. There will be no rolling, so catch what you feel your character could, but don't go overboard with it.

Akari walked onto the dock with her own fishing gear and a bucket. "Shosuro-san, good morning. I pulled an eel out yesterday. What's biting today?"

"Fish." He said with a happy chuckle. "I'm certainly not able to tell the difference between them, but many are chewing at my bait today."

She set her things on the dock , lowered the bucket into the water to partially fill it then set it down too. Readying the line and bait, she smirks at the Scorpion. "Only know them by what they look and taste like in the plate then?"
She casts the line and begins waiting.

"Not even that! All fish taste the same to me, but they're good and that's all I care about." He answered in a chipper voice as he impatiently tugged on his line some. "You a fish specialist or something then?"

"No, just an enthusiast," she replied. The line settled and she pulled it in a bit to make sure it wasn't snagged.
"And I can't argue that they taste good. Don't actually need to know much more than that really."

"To think that some people think they taste disgusting. Such a terrible thing, really." He shook his head causing his antenna to wiggle back and forth. "Specialist and enthusiast are pretty common ground though. One tends to lead to the other."

"Only with true dedication. I have to admit to spending nearly as much time watching the clouds as I do my line.". She smirked at that. "Or, in recent days, speaking with Scorpion samurai it seems."

"We Scorpion do have a habit of popping up now and then. I had heard that there was another one of me around here, but I've yet to see him." He looked up towards the sky. "The clouds are pretty though, when they're up there. More should be here soon, if a storm is on the way, that is."

"Yes, the humidity is pretty bad today," she replied before something started nibbling at her line. She lightly touched it so she could feel any sudden movement easier if the fish took the bait.
"I am curious, what does Shosuro-san do for fun?"

"Fish. Sing. Dance. Annoy people. The list goes on and on and never ends if you'd listen to people who don't like me." He chirped happily as his line sat in the water, moving along gently with the waves.

She kept her fingers on the line, feeling for that moment to hook the fish tickling her bait.
"I didn't know you were a singer. When's..." she pauses as she yanks back on the rod, setting the hook and beginning the battle to pull it in.
"When's your next show?"

"We're having to see about that. I want to do one soon, but I've got to wait according to Moto-sama. Says we've got other things to focus on, even if I think that the morale could use some help." He scoffed, nothing still biting his line yet.

"Definitely could use a morale booster after news of supplies being hit by animals. People will likely be a bit worried."
She fights the fish a bit, drawing it in little by little. Wouldn't be long now.

"Not really. We've got enough food to last us. Kitsuki-san is just worried about if something happens to the supply ship. If that does happen, we'll need to be careful with how much we eat, which is why she's already prepping." He answered back casually.

"Oh, I'm sure. And we're in good hands with her on that. But it doesn't mean people won't worry. Because people scare easily when they chatter with each other about things they don't understand. Little bit of bad news can get blown out of proportion." Working the line, she eventually gets the fish up to the dock and pulls it from the water. A decent sized grouper. Great cooking fish. She smiles at that as she lowers it in the bucket and pulls the hook out.

"Scaring easily is an understatement. Especially on such a small little place like this. People have no easy way of escaping anywhere, and we are effectively trapped. Take away a steady supply of food and things would get... testy at best." He answered casually before tugging on his line a bit. No fish for him still.

She busies herself with baiting, going into her pack and pulling a piece of... fish insides?... from a small container.
"Well, it's a good thing we've got a steady supply," she replied looking out at the sea. "So we need to organize an opportunity to hear you perform then, because I am very interested."

"Ah, don't be. I'm not a great singer. Better at acting where all I have to do is move around. No big issue where my voice might just suddenly give out on me or is stolen away by some beastie." He giggled, amused by his own words. "If you want to hear a performance so terribly though, you can always make one yourself."

"Oh, you may not be a great performer, but I imagine that my performances would only serve to upset observers," she said, laughing at herself. "It was never my strong suit. Do you like acting too then?"
