[D2, MA] Hold your breath

[Daidoji Kenzo]

Kenzo had done a lot of crazy things in his life but this was near the top of the list for a lot of reasons. He hadn't been nervous in a long time and he wasn't much enjoying the feeling, so it was time to either fight or flee and he sure as hell wasn't going to flee. he stood up, tied a knot in the sack he held and dropping it in the shallow water so his catch would stay alive.

"Well those can wait, are you two finally ready to get wet?" He splashed some water in the direction of Yukari. "Or am I the only one getting a little hot here?" He took a few steps back into the water so that it came to his waist.

[Shiba Yukari]

Waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait

Had someone hung an "out of order" sign around Yukari's neck, the Phoenix might have looked, well... slightly less comically uncertain of just what she'd gotten into.

"Er, what does Kenzo-san have in mind?"

She waded a little further into the water.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Well there is always that hands-on swim lesson we talked about, or maybe there is some game the two of you know and want to play? I'm up for whatever you want to do."

[Miya Akari]

The Miya follows into the water, ready for a bit of splashing and fun. Her wide smile said that she was definitely not upset over the quiet exchange, but her body language was definitely more beach fun stance than anything else at the moment. There was an interest where the Crane was concerned, but it wasn't the fiery desire she felt for Yukari. So for now, splashing and swimming were the course.

"Swimming sounds fine for now," she Akari replied.

[Shiba Yukari]

"I'm not a particularly strong swimmer, but I know the basics?"

So. Much. Skin. On. Display.

And all of it looks good.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Well come on in, don't be shy. You can float right? Just lay on your back and relax."

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari nodded and carefully went out deep enough to let the water buoy her up.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Great so the arms are the easy part, just try to keep you fingers together and cup you hands slightly. The motion is pretty is pretty simple and smooth, it's hard to get a stroke wrong and in a lot of circumstances you can get away with just using your arms." he swam around in a circle to demonstrate. "Just swim back and forth between Akari-sama and I a few to time, let us see your form."

[Miya Akari]

Akari watched the lesson. She wasn't a particularly strong swimmer or anything. In fact, she was pretty bad at it. She mostly stayed where feet touched. But she enjoyed it.

She dips her head under the water, and then comes back out.

Hmm...

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari dutifully paddled back and forth.

She plainly didn't do it all that often.

That's it, focus, focus, do NOT think about... FOCUS, dammit!

[Miya Akari]

As Yukari paddled towards Akari, she found the Imperial's hands outstretched to provide support. "There you go. Just as good as I am," she said with a smile.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Relax, you look like you worrying about to much, there are lots of animals far less graceful than you who can swim, you just need to let your mind stop working. Now for the part where things get...complicated. We need to get your legs into the game so when you get back to Akari-sama stop in front of her, she's going to hold you so you don't swim away. Keep swimming like you have been but start moving your legs as well, find a rhythm that feels right to you, it can take a moment to settle in to it so don't get too frustrated if it doesn't happen right away. Are you comfortable with that Akarai-sama?"

[Miya Akari]

"My feet are on the bottom, I'm good," she says with a grin. "Hard to mess up when you're firmly planted."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Good, just hold her by the hips. Yukari-san when you think you have a rhythm you like tell Akari-sama to let go and swim to me, it should be a lot faster but if you get tired just stop and float."

[Miya Akari]

Rather than grabbing the hips, since Akari's got a smaller frame, she rests a hand on her belly at the hip line and her lower back to support and help Yukari float. She was careful not to tickle the Phoenix. "I've got you Yukari-san." She gives the Shiba a wink.

[Shiba Yukari]

And not for the first time, either...

Yukari winked back... and picked it up a bit.

"Okay, think we're good..."

[Miya Akari]

Akari loosened her grip, letting the Phoenix slip between her hands. Hand that touched lightly, gliding along her skin as she swam away. "You've got this Yukari-san!" the Miya supported.

[Shiba Yukari]

And it seemed she did, as the Phoenix made a beeline for the Crane.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

He could have stopped her the same way Akari had but he had too many questions, so he let her collide into him much like the Miya had on the beach. "Perfect form, how did that feel?"

[Shiba Yukari]

Ack!

Both of them were so much... sturdier than she was.

And wait a minute, is that...

It only took about a second for the Phoeonix to get incredibly flustered.

"Uhm... good? Yes? Right?"
