"I didn't expect such... reaction from here." He could note her starting to pale. The Doji is struggling. "Please... help me... I can't see well..." The woman took a deep breath as she continued to fight whatever had struck her.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

He didn't really understand what was happening but he had to act, propriety be damned.

"Forgive me please."

He moved his wakizashi back to it's proper place and then gave her his back, carrying her back the way they came. He moved swifter than they had entered but didn't outright run, making for the tree that was their beacon.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

She had asked for his aid there was nothing to forgive. Hana held to the Daidoji. "Sorry... Daidoji san..." Her breath was a bit slowed. "I... don't...know... why." such... emotion... She started to blink a bit fast.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

It took considerable effort but he managed to move her around in front of him and he laid her down on her side practically on top of him so that if she flailed out she wound only hit him and not something hard or sharp. He cradled her head and just tried to talk to her, calm her down. "Put it out of your mind, think of the gardens you tended back home. Picture the your arrangements and the immaculate grounds of The Academy. Just relax and breathe slowly, everything is alright."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

Her eyes were lost in the search for that moment. The blinking went started to slow down after a few minutes. The girl was panting. Slowly her color started to return. "Kenzo... san...thank ...you" Hana closed her eyes just for a few breaths. "I... am... well... now... they... were... so... angry... I... should... apologize..." Her soft voice almost a whisper. "I am... sorry... for worrying you."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"Don't try to yet, just keep breathing; you have nothing to apologize for Hanatsuko-san. Just keep breathing, we are fine here you can explain if you wish later once you you feel ready." He continued to hold her and gently rocking, his gaze flitting between her and their surroundings. "

[Doji Hanatsuko]

The girl nodded closing her eyes for a few moments getting a grip back on her life. Her blue gray orbs opened slowly as she started to feel much better. "Kenzo san... I could feel the rage of the forest as we went deeper... It was such strong feeling... I wasn't prepared for it." She held her mon which was near her heart. "I will be prepared next time." She looked to the Daidoji and nodded.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

He loosened his grip on her but didn't move until she was ready to try and get up. "The forest is angry? That doesn't bode well, are you sure you are alright? If you aren't ready to walk it is alright, we can stay here as long as you need or I can bear you without complaint."

He looked out into the woods again. "Is it upset with us?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I... think so" As he loosen her, she tries to stand up yet she still wobbly. "I am fine..." Hana wasn't fine, she had to hold again on her partner for some stability. "Sorry... I slipped." Hana wanted to feel the nearby tree and sit against it. "Please ... help me to the tree."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

He did just that, carrying her over to it and setting her down to rest against it's trunk. Once she was settled he considered the knife, it mattered little to him if he got it back but with her...affliction he worried that it may cause her stress. With a few long strides he bounded off the trunk and snatched the dagger out of the branch above them then returned to her side.

"We should get you back to the village soon." He didn't understand but he hoped he would in time. "We have only just got here and taken little from the land, why would the forest be so upset with us?"

Where is a stream when you need one, she needs some water

[Doji Hanatsuko]

As she sat next to the trunk, she could feel it. "I think they are a bit warry of strangers... We are ningen." She looked down at herself. "I feel sad." She closed her eyes and sighed. The music she heard seem to be a warning now. "Sorry... you will slowly trust me." Hana said as she looked at the forest that screamed at her with anger.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

He sat down beside her, offering her something to lean against. "Close your eyes and rest, I'm not going anywhere. Sleep if you need to we can figure this out in time."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I doubt I will be able to sleep here... the music is so strange." There was no music to be heard. "Oh.. right... sorry" She sighed.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"You don't need to apologize for your gifts, or my inability to comprehend them. Has this ever happened before, this pain you feel?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"No... that is so odd." She looked up to the sky. "I have felt anger of the plants but never this strong."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"I think you should take to Asako-sama when we get back to the village and you feel better, she will want to know about this as will Miya-sama. You may have just saved us all, this knowledge may lead to answers about this place."


If she were a child I could cheer her up with my puppets, I need to learn how to talk to adults again.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

Hana smiled at the Daidoji. "I doubt they would accept my testimony.” it happens. The Doji sighed as she got up.The girl seem a bit steadier. she whispered to the tree.thank you.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

Kenzo stood. "I can bear you back if you wish, it will not trouble me."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I don't want to be a burden." But she took his arm to keep herself steady. "This will be fine, thank you."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

They began to make there way back to the village but he didn't want to rush her. "What did you mean when you said they wouldn't accept your testimony?"
