The work he does is swift and precise. Enough to keep out any animals or even rain.

[Ikoma Matisutou]

"Got this one patched, Kuni-sama," Matisutou calls down. "Only saw the one."

He looks out over the area from the higher vantage point, seeking perhaps to notice something...

[Koumori]

From his higher point, there wasn't much else to be seen. The work on the roof looked good, as it did for all of the buildings. However, there was a nearby tree with branches that hung over the roof in a few spots.

[Ikoma Matisutou]

Matisutou heads over that way, looking more closely, seeing what he can see.

[Koumori]

The branches looked sturdy, likely able to hold a decent bit of weight, allowing whatever animals in the tree to be able to easily cross over to the roof.

[Ikoma Matisutou]

"Kaiu-sama," he calls down, "would you like the branches cleared back away from the roof? Might inhibit some further visitors, perhaps; an army struggles to ford a river, but easily marches across a bridge."

[Koumori]

"If you can manage it, go for it, just be careful and don't send a branch through the roof. It would be a pain in the ass." She called up with a muffled voice, likely due to nails being held in her mouth.

[Ikoma Matisutou]

"Hai, Kaiu-sama," he replies, and calls down for an axe or--what do they call it? parangu?

It's not tossed up, but carried up. The optics of chucking a blade at a samurai aren't good, even if the blade's been requested.

[Koumori]

None of the peasants would risk such things either. So they drew straws quickly and then one unsure footed one brought him the weapon.

[Ikoma Matisutou]

Matisutou waits, somewhat impatiently, for the shaky peasant to respond.

It's not his work crew, though, so he says nothing about it, simply getting to work as soon as the tool is in his hand.

[Koumori]

And within moments, he's able to clear away some of the overhanging branches, lowering them to the ground easily and carefully.

[Ikoma Matisutou]

Matisutou nods to himself and continues to work...
