[Daidoji Kenzo]

"That would be entertaining to watch." he said with a chuckle. He was losing the battle with himself but was also starting not to care. He moved to sit beside her, hoping that facing the water would pull his focus. "So what do you usually do when you come here?"

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari was a bit late in arrival- some of that was a desperately (and likely futile) attempt to reclaim some shred of propriety by not stampeding out to the cove with the woman she'd been spotted making out with the day before, some of it was letter-writing... and some of it had been agonizing over her wardrobe.

So she appeared dressed.... relatively properly, with at least two layers of kimono evident, and carrying a parasol.

"Akari-sama, Kenzo-san... I must apologize for my tardiness."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

Kenzo seemed thankful for the distraction but quickly realized things were getting more complex not less.

"Greetings Yukari-san, glad you made it. Come get out of the heat and join us, we were just having a light meal would you like a rice ball and some sake or water?" He moved his seat again so that he could face them both.

[Miya Akari]

"Yes, come join us," Akari said with a bright smile at Yukari's approach. She patted the seat next to herself, apparently not ashamed or concerned about her own minimal attire.

She moves her shed and folded yukata to give the Phoenix a place without sand to sit.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

Right, were here for swimming. SWIMMING.

"Oh yes, you should probably get changed, you won't want to get sand all over your clothes. You can change in modesty in there and there is a place to put your clothes to keep them clean." He gestured to the partition behind him.

[Shiba Yukari]

"Perhaps after I join you both for lunch? Water would be lovely..."

She took her seat beside Akari, and if there was a slight blush, it was only slight- she had, after all, seen the Miya in even less and, well... doing more the night before.

[Miya Akari]

"I've already eaten," Akari admits. "Not that I couldn't eat more, but I shouldn't. And the water is great. I couldn't help myself."

"So... how did you both sleep on your first night? You must have been exhausted. I hope it was restful."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"It took a while to get to sleep, this place is full of odd noises and I couldn't get my mind to stop. Visions of all the things I want to do while I'm here and while the weather is nice I found my room a little cold. You?"

[Shiba Yukari]

"Well, I was... somewhat tired. So much that I overslept a bit today, as it happens... but I can't say I slept poorly."

[Miya Akari]

"I slept soundly," she nodded to Kenzo. She also looks to him to bring out food. The sooner it was finished, the sooner there could be fun in the water.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

The look from the Miya shook him out of his daydreams and he ducked back behind the curtain, returning quickly with more rice balls, water and a bottle of sake. "My apologies, please enjoy. So Akari-sama, I was asking what you usually do when you come here."

[Miya Akari]

"Enjoy the water, sometimes fish, other time i just build a fire and sit by it. Training too, iai," she says.

[Shiba Yukari]

Yukari took the rice ball with appreciation, and... listened.

[Daidoji Kenzo]

"One day I will be more than I liability in a duel, I expect that day will come in another life though. Right now however the water calls to me so if you will both excuse me, if we are going to eat anything besides rice I better get to diving." He smiled and bowed then raced off into the surf.

[Miya Akari]

Akari smiled to Yukari as he raced off. "He's energetic."

[Shiba Yukari]

"Enthusiastic, too."

She chuckled.

"And fun, especially if you can get him off guard. He's got a playful streak, but it can lead him into dangerous ground, in terms of conversation."

[Miya Akari]

"More dangerous than our own?" she asks with a playful smirk. "By the way, I collected some live flowers for you like we talked about yesterday. Some of which were pink azaleas, to remind you of home a bit, though they're just small sapling bushes. If you like, I can bring them by your room later so we might enjoy them together." She has a mischievous smile as she leans back on her hands.

"And you are gorgeous today, by the way."

[Daidoji Kenzo]

Kenzo surfaced briefly and took a large gulp of air before diving back down.

[Shiba Yukari]

Well, that got a full-blown blush.

"Thank you. You look..."

"... lovely as well."

She cleared her throat.

"I, ah... spent the morning looking for edible flora in the forest. This place is surprisingly lush..."

[Miya Akari]

She didn't even try to hide her looks at Yukari.

"I was fishing myself, but afterwards I joined Doji-san in the forest to look for supplies for a ceremony Asako-san is planning," she said. "So I have some chamomile and azalea and a few others in my room at the inn. They are waiting to find their new home."

She bit her bottom lip as she looked at Yukari.
