[Miya Akari]

The Miya nods at that. "You can let me know if you ever wish to have accompaniment anywhere on the island. It's not particularly dangerous, but it never hurts to have some company. And I would enjoy the opportunity to watch you create."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Company is always welcomed." She took another piece of sushi, yellow tail. "I would be honored if you want to watch."

[Miya Akari]

The Miya smiled softly at that. "Doji-san's artistic endeavors will undoubtedly have an enlightening effect on me. I look forward to it. If you like, I can bring tea. If you let me know what your favorite is I can check my stash."

Because of course an imperial has a stash of high quality teas even in this place.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I may be a bit new at making my art evoke emotions but it still shows the person's wishes." The Doji simply accepted. "I show the world the beauty that not other people can see."

[Miya Akari]

"I look forward to seeing that beauty then," Akari replies. "Do you usually paint landscapes and locations?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Yes... I rarely do portraits. It is a good way to keep track of the many plants there are in the empire. The color variations one can see from clan to clan...from southeast to the northwest." She looked down. "I am yet to travel that far."

[Miya Akari]

"Well, you made it here," Akari encouraged. "Not many in the empire can say that. So I believe you can make it anywhere."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"That is true." She nodded. "I just hope for new inspiration."

[Miya Akari]

"I suspect you will find it here. It's a rather beautiful island and I have grown fond of it actually."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Have you been here long?" The Doji wondered

[Miya Akari]

"I came with Hiruka-sama, so as long as anyone else in the expedition. Though my role has never been a major one. I am simply Hiruka-sama's yojimbo," she explains.

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I see..." She nodded "I came with Daidoji Kenzo san... he is a scout." Hana sipped her tea.

[Miya Akari]

She nods confirmation. "I met him this morning. Shared a meal with him in fact," she says, taking up a piece of tuna. "He is very eager to get started on exploring the island. He is quite friendly."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"Yes... I as well would like to go exploring but I have to settle in before I let the lure of the island call this one." Was she being literal or metaphorical that was for the Doji to know. "It is better to be prepared." Sadly, she wasn't prepared.

[Miya Akari]

"I would be glad to help you prepare, Doji-san. You are a gardener and painter, but you also wish to explore? Do you have much experience with forests and navigating wild flora and fauna?"

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I do... I am just curious about the sounds and colors and nature itself. I like to go to forest so I have an idea on how to navigate them." She started to remember the songs.

[Miya Akari]

"Well, if you ever find yourself wanting to enter the forest here, please refrain from doing so alone, and always keep the ocean in view through the tree line. It is far too easy to get lost in there." It wasn't stern, but it was a firm suggestion. "I wouldn't wish to lose you to the forest."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I understand." The Doji nodded. "I will keep that in mind. Is it always this quiet?"

[Miya Akari]

"In general yes. But you can get a bit of exercise and activity by attending morning training with Akodo-san. He keeps his men in fit fighting shape and runs them through drills and exercises frequently," she replies. "In case you were interested in that. I join them on occasion."

[Doji Hanatsuko]

"I could use some training. I don't want my defensive skills to get rusty." She nodded. "One must always be prepared."
