"Not yet, that is what I meant," she said with a nod. "Was just making some observations of public areas for an initial check. In case I saw something observable that I could bring up when meeting with her."

[Koumori]

"Mmhm." If Shion was capable of making facial expressions, she might've squinted at her. "As you say, Miya-san. Yet. The salamander issue is something that Asako-san is over exaggerating. It is something she is known for. Keep that in mind as you go searching for this little hint of village adventure."

[Miya Akari]

"Since I am not an expert on spiritual matters, I defer to her judgement. The spiritual issues surrounding the island and our presence are certainly beyond me. But listening to spiritual guidance is one thing I can do."

[Koumori]

"As you say. She is knowledgeable and is the spiritual advisor, but that does not mean that she cannot be prone to flights of over exaggeration. We all have flaws. That is hers. One of hers."

[Miya Akari]

"That we do. It is to be human. But the flaws are what make us interesting to each other. If not fr those, would we have anything to gossip about? That is one of our few forms of entertainment here," she said with a chuckle.

[Koumori]

"Gossiping is a waste of time and produces nothing useful. Obtaining information should be done in a more secure manner where you know the sources are truthworthy and you are given nothing but facts."

[Miya Akari]

"Well, it produces a bit of fun for the rumormongers. Though, yes, nothing practical comes from it," she agreed. "But everyone has fun and relaxes in their own way. For many, without regular plays or music, they turn to more fanciful and ephemeral things such as these."

[Koumori]

"Plays and music are both as frivolous as rumors. A waste of time designed in such a way so as to make the watchers feel as if they are partaking in so called Culture."

[Miya Akari]

"Culture is it's own thing. I'm talking about relaxation and enjoyment. If you don't take time to unwind then you will go mad from worry. For some people, that looks like putting things in their proper place, creating order from chaos. Others feel better after making a mess," she replied with a shrug.

"People without an outlet become agitated and distracted, making more mistakes and failing in their duty. Some simply need frivolity to function properly."

[Koumori]

"I was not talking about methods of unwinding. The conversation was how, that you stated, without music or plays some of the samurai on this island would turn to creating rumors. I stated that they are as frivolous as rumors themselves. I understand that the average samurai requires downtime as part of their day to create optimal productivity."

[Miya Akari]

"Yes, but frivolity is one of the things we use to help us relax. For some at least. Just pointing out that gossip and rumors are a means to the end of enjoying downtime," she replied.

[Koumori]

Shion, ever being what she saw as the 'bigger man', decided to end the topic. "It is unlikely that we will ever see eye-to-eye on this matter. There is little need to debate it, as such. Do not dig into supplies that is not owned by you. May the rest of your day be productive." She stated in her boring voice before bowing.

"Of course, Kitsuki-san." The Miya offered a return bow.
